Train to Win

Home » Train to Win
Make this the best “off-season” you have ever had by preparing your body for the demands of your sport. Our “Train To Win” programs can help you build resiliency in your body to decrease your risk of injury, improve the mobility that you may have lost while training for your sport, and set up your training zones so that you know you are doing the right work at the right time.

From the research, one of the main things that you can do to decrease your risk of pain and/or injury and to perform better, is to strength train. We offer group and 1 on 1 personal training with programs designed with the Master Endurance Athlete in mind. Through a gradual progression of strengthening and mobility work, we will build up your tissue resiliency to allow you to function at your highest level and while decreasing your risk of injury when your race season starts.

If you are not measuring, you are guessing! When it is time to start putting in the miles, it is imperative that you know your training zones. Without knowing, most endurance athletes end up spending most of their time in a workout zone that is not productive-not easy enough on endurance days and not hard enough on hard days. This leads to you not progressing the way you want from season to season.

The best, and most accurate way to establish your training zones, is physiologic testing. We offer blood lactate testing for running and cycling which allows you to accurately determine your anaerobic and more importantly, your aerobic thresholds. Make the most of your training this season from the start by obtaining accurate measurements of your training zones by using your heart rate or power meter (if you have one on your bike).
