Hip or Knee Arthritis? You Can Be Optimistic!

Home » » Hip or Knee Arthritis? You Can Be Optimistic!

Being diagnosed as having knee or hip arthritis can be scary, frustrating, and make you feel like there is nothing you can do except to have surgery. However, this is really not the case. Many people with arthritis can remain active without making it worse and possibly avoid having surgery. In fact, when you understand more about it, there are reasons to be optimistic……..

Knee and hip arthritis is very common. In fact, the older we get, the more likely we are to have it. However, not everyone with arthritis experiences pain. And, despite what you may think or been told, one of the best ways to manage an arthritic hip or knee is to stay active and perform exercises specifically designed for you,

I have written about this previously here: www.promotiongb.com/blog/more-support-for-exercise-with-knee-arthritis

One of the first steps in helping someone with their arthritic knee or hip is to help them learn more about it and what it means and maybe more importantly, what it does not mean. Greg Lehman, and physical therapist from Canada has created some great videos for patients about knee and hip osteoarthritis. By clicking on the link below, you will be able to view a set of videos that Greg created to help people understand and manage hip and knee OA better.
This initial link should take you to an introductory video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1xr1Y5jSxg&list=PL8IrcLaawK51MilbxYq0y7qLwrphDrlfX

There are about 9 other videos that follow the introduction. These will be shown on the right side of your screen. Each video discussed a different topic as it relates to hip and knee OA. Please feel free to watch the whole sequence and reach out to me with questions or if you need assistance with getting started.
